it’s officially winter here
the past 2 days have been cold
15 degrees - cold.
i’m grateful that i wake up early & walk every morning [no matter what]
because there’s something pretty sweet about a quiet city
about the newness, the light, the opportunity to shape the day
this morning i passed a homeless man & felt deeply sad
sad that i had a warm home return to
a hot shower
a cup of tea in my hand
a job
